Wanibo Toe was a soccer legend. He was the George Weah of Liberian President Tubman’s administration in the 1960’s. He was also popular in Ghana that a highlife song was made about him. He lived a short life but made a serious impact on Liberian Soccer. He was unique because people thought he was a myth until older Liberians started eulogizing him. There was a political debate as to whether to name the national stadium after him or not. Research is still being done about his life.
