Mrs. Debbie Thomas Scott-Caranda is a 47 year veteran educator:  an alumni of the William V. S. Tubman Teachers College, University of Liberia and the University of Georgia, USA.

With the passion she has for education, she has been the proprietress of  the School of Prime Systems (1978), a leading private school in Liberia, West Africa, and a recently retired professor at the University of Liberia Teachers College for 14 years.

As of recent, she (AUNTY ‘D’), launched a local educational TV show featuring Language Arts skills (comprehension, vocabulary and grammar) and proverbs along with well known tales to enhance the learning of children in Liberia and beyond.

Mrs. Scott-Caranda believes ” You can’t teach what you don’t know; either you know it or you don’t!”  As an instructor of methodology she is determined to produce trained teachers with knowledge of the “What and How” to educate our children. The children deserve our best!

As a classroom teacher, she daily reminds her students with the following 2 quotes:

DON’T study to EARN,

STUDY TO LEARN;

WHAT YOU LEARN TODAY

IS WHAT YOU WILL BECOME TOMORROW.

IF YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO LEARN,

NO ONE CAN HELP YOU;

IF YOU ARE DETERMINED TO LEARN,

NO ONE CAN STOP YOU!!
